The history of this famous brand goes back to 1913, when the founders, Mario and his brother Martino, opened their first boutique in Milan. Their store featured leather luggage. Eventually, Mario’s daughter, Luisa, took over the company. Her daughter, Muiccia, then took over after her. Under Miuccia’s direction the brand evolved and branched out to producing shoes, accessories and then a women’s clothing line and fragrances.
